ENTRY ELIGIBILITY PERIOD 

(March 1 – June 15, 2020)

Producers and Playwrights enter faith-based films, gospel stage plays, web series, and talk shows during the eligibility period.

There is a two-year window of eligibility for works produced 

between January 2018 and the entry deadline with a $135 entry fee.

 

If a production was entered the previous year and didn't win, it can be entered again as long as it's in the two-year window.

 

After entering the producer/playwright will receive promotional material to aid in soliciting votes for their nominees. Attending nominees will also be required to pay $35 registration fee that includes entree to the nominee breakfast, a program booklet, as well as a souvenir t-shirt.

 

 

SUBMISSIONS

Producers, Playwrights, Directors, and Comedians may submit their own names for consideration for the following categories:

Best Producer, Best Playwright, Best Director, Best Comedian,

Best Comedienne, and Best Comedian in Character.

 

All submissions for these categories are judged by members of the Church Stars Judging Council who represent leading professionals from production companies, networks, and studios. 

 

Judges evaluate submissions to recognize distinction in creative work and are judged against a high standard of excellence. Judges score submissions on a performance scale point system.  Six nominations are awarded in each category. All decisions of judges are final.

 

All entries are assessed against the following criteria:

 

Content\Quality of Message

Content is the information provided in video clips, resumes and yearly performance dates. Good content should be engaging, relevant, and appropriate for the audience. Judges consider the strength of the concept and message being evaluated respective to the category entered. 

 

Execution\Overall Experience 

Execution includes the appearance and all the aspects that account for a memorable experience. The overall experience of the work and how it was executed and realized by its creators. 

Notification

Each entrant will receive notification via email confirming receipt of their submissions. Entrants whose work is not chosen will be notified following completion of judging.

 

 

VOTING

(July 1, 2020 – July 31, 2020)

Open thirty-one days, the public will be able to vote 3x times a day by computer, mobile phone or tablets and will determine the winners.

 

 

RESULTS

Powered by Powrio Poll, results from voting will be delivered to the Church Stars Network August 1, 2020, and the winners will be announced at the awards ceremony October 3, 2020 in

Phoenix, AZ.
