3 DAY ACTING COURSE WITH TASHA SMITH
Location: The National Black Theatre 2031 5th Ave Harlem, NY 10035
Actors Workshop Schedule: Friday, 10am - 4pm (Instrumental Exercise, Emotional Prep, Acting Tools & Technique Saturday, 10am – 4pm (Applying Technique & Career Counseling) Sunday, 10am – 4pm (Scene Study)
Each day you will be learning different emotional prep exercises, instrumental exercises, character development, scene breakdown exercises and more! Each student is required to have a 2-3 min monologue prepared. If you are attending both classes, you may have 2 different monologues prepared. Sample monologues may be found at WhySanity.net
Format: The 3-day workshop session provides a no-holds-barred, multi-level instructional training for actors based on the Ivanna Chubbuck studio technique, taught by acclaimed actress and master instructor, Tasha Smith (Empire, For Better or Worse on TBS, Jumping the Broom, Couples Retreat, Pastor Brown, The Longshots, Tyler Perry’s: Why Did I Get Married?, Why Did I Get Married Too and Daddy’s Little Girls).
Lunch, Refreshments and Snacks will be provided each day of class.

Student Age Limit: All actors must be at least 18 years of age to participate. But if the actor is between 15-18 years old, the student must have a parent or guardian accompany and attend that student's session throughout their 2-day training workshop. Some of the script materials covered is adult related natured.
Refund/Cancellation Policy:
NO refunds. However payment is transferable to another workshop or to another student if you cannot attend within the calendar year of the workshop.
