"FERGUSON" THE MUSICAL COMING TO A CITY NEAR YOU!

Recently, Church Stars caught up with Peachanda and learned that the multiple award winning playwright will be celebrated as a "We Dream In Color" Humanitarian Honoree for her work with the musical stage play "Ferguson" a story inspired by true life events that played out for the world to see two years ago. Ms Dubose wrote, produced, and directed the musical.

The single mom and humanitarian sacrificed her home in order to help fund her dream of bringing the often complex, life altering issues surrounding "Ferguson" The Musical to the stage. Giving a nod to the 1957 classic, "12 Angry Men", the musical, much like the movie, depicts, 12 jurors from various walks of life who must determine the fate of someone who is "different" than any of them. "Ferguson" will incite dialogue amongst theatre goers, that is conducive to positive change that compels us to treat each other with dignity and respect, regardless of our differences.

The "We Dream In Color" event, which will be held in Chicago on July 15, 2017. recognizes individuals who have risen above their own challenges to encourage, motivate, and help propel others to greatness. These humanitarian efforts are clearly evidenced by Peachanda's inspirational plays such as "Surrender","No Weapon", and "The Devil Thought He Had Me"(film) among others. and the Annual Playwrights Ball/ Peach Theatre Awards she started in 2012 (she was homeless the first 3 years of the Ball), honoring the unsung in various genres of the Arts, featuring workshops, red carpet, networking, a luxurious cruise, & award ceremony.

Church Stars wants to congratulate Miss Peachanda Dubose on this award and we wish you well in your future endeavors.
