CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT - how do you prepare? A great actor studies the whole script to understand who their character is. Never prepare the day before you go on set/practice that can make or break the character you become. Study and be ready for what others will bring to the table. Come with options in your study because you never know what your director is looking for.

IMPROVISATION SKILLS - improv is very important in acting this skill set helps you to be on point. Can everyone improvise? Yes but does everyone have the skill no. It’s a technique you must work on to better yourself. Can you improvise anytime you want? No some sets/shows don’t allow it. But if you forget your lines how do you get out of the “deer in headlights” scenario? When thinking of improvisation think like football. If a running back ran straight down the field with no spends or shakes to get off his opponent he would always get caught. Your craft is the same way if you’re not prepared to shake or spend with the right comeback you will always get caught “with your pants down”.
