IF IT MEANS ONE PERSON'S SOUL, WOULD IT BE WORTH DOING THE PLAY FOR FREE
In a Facebook post July 1, Playwright Shirlicia Mason of Atlanta shared an inspiring testimony we had to repost:
I didn't want to do Transparent- The Stage Play for free.
My husband and I really needed the money, it wasn't a "smart" business move for a young production company, and I had to fully trust and obey the leading of the Holy Spirit.
One early morning- weeks before the play, as I was praying and crying about this big assignment I was given, God spoke to me in the peaceful way that He does...
He said, "Shirlicia, if it means one person's soul, would it be worth doing the play for free?"
"Yes," I replied. "If it means someone's life, then yes."
I still struggled with the process. It didn't make sense, and sometimes I wanted to call the entire play off because honestly... it was just hard.
But... day after day, God reminded me, "It's not about you."
You all, we need to be obedient to what God says do. People may not understand, we may not always get it, the process may not feel or look good, but there are people waiting on our "Yes" to God.
This is a picture of the ONE that came to the altar. The process is worth it in Jesus name. Amen.
