ABOUT TALITHA

A native of Riverside, California, Talitha has been exposed to the Arts her entire life, from her father being an accomplished singer to her aunt writing and producing plays, that Talitha would hope to one day star in. Her sophomore year in college, she wanted to tackle issues that friends and family had experienced; abuse, molestation, teenage pregnancy and self-esteem issues and she wrote her first full length play in 1991 and thus Cumi Productions was born. She went on to move to Kansas City, Missouri, where she became active in social services and reaching out to at risk youth and was able to tour the play to Kansas City High Schools and churches. She realized God had given her a tremendous gift and she needed to use it to speak to the world through the Arts. She began writing and producing other productions and began to have a local following in the Kansas City Area. She has to her credits; “Speaking to the People”, “Daddy’s First Christmas”, “Between Me And God”, “The Trial”, On the Road, For Women Who Have Considered Giving Up…. When God is Enough), Bag Ladies, Bag Ladies Too, No Returns Please, Lay Away”( Bag Ladies 3) and “9 Lives” in 2016. In 2005 Talitha relocated to the Dallas Metroplex and has continued to write and branch out into short films and documentaries. She recently launched her new non-profit organization Tha Well by F.A.T. By Design helping women with emergency financial assistance and concierge referral services. She believes she has found her purpose in life and it is to help women by any means necessary.
