O-LIVE! THEATRE’S “SUMMER RAINE”

SLATED TO JOIN ENTERTAINMENT LINE-UP IN THE DAYS

LEADING UP TO SUPER BOWL SUNDAY

Following sold out preview performances at the downtown Phoenix Herberger Theatre,

O-Live! Theatre’s “SUMMER RAINE”, a musical stage play is nowslated to join the

entertainment line-up in the days leading up to Super Bowl Sunday.  Artistic Director

Nicole Newman-Colter is excited to join the things-to-do calendar with all the city events.     

 

Super Bowl Week promises a greater opportunity to garner media attention, both locally

and nationally, and helps raise awareness for O-Live!, Arizona’s first faith-based theatre. 

Newman-Colter states; “I was inspired to write this play after the death of musical legend

Whitney Houston.  The family struggles of betrayal, selfishness, accountability and the

power of truth are riveting and in particular explosive between siblings in this musical

stage play.  The thought of reaching even more people with the message of love and

forgiveness makes me ecstatic.  I’m also hoping that possible investors will attend and consider helping the theatre financially and possibly fund a tour.  As a believer in Christ and the dreams He has put in me, I believe in speaking things into existence.  Not only are my dreams coming true, I love seeing the actors shine and creating the opportunities for them to fulfill their dreams as well”.   

 

O-Live! Theatre hopes to engage even larger numbers and a wider range of local supporters with the reach of Super Bowl attendees looking for things to do.

Synopsis:  International singer Summer Raine experiences betrayal of the worst kind, causing her to retreat to a resort for some much needed rest & reflection. While away from the flashing lights of the paparazzi, a scandal is brewing that could rock her world and alter the course of her life.  Will her relationships survive the storm headed her way?  Be prepared to hold onto your seats throughout the twists, turns and soulful music of "Summer Raine" a musical stage play.
